Founded by celebrated directing collective Polynoid, Woodblock is a production company and studio for animated content based in Ludwigsburg and Berlin. Amongst other things they design and create commercials and independent films – and asked us to design their company logo.

When creating the logo, we limited ourselves to a basic shape: the triangle. The arrangement of five triangles displays the first letter of Woodblock.

The approach of working with simple forms is extremely rewarding as it gives artists a chance to play with these basic shapes creatively. Below are a few of the playful results created by Woodblock based on our logo design. Logo animations can be found on their Instagram channel as well.
